Time to let the world know about your Facebook recommendations
Facebook recommendations are a a great way to let your friends (and in some cases, total strangers, but don’t be too worried about this. You have dealt a blow to your Facebook privacy settings, right? You do know you have the option of making your recommendation public, right?) know what you think about a Facebook Page. Do you like the services they offer, did they serve you a meal you will never forget, did they create an awesome website for your organization (hehehe)?
Why should you make a Facebook recommendation?
So, why should you make a Facebook Page recommendation? How about the obvious: you are helping out a business or organization by leveraging whatever social clout (notice I did not say klout? I have my reasons) you have. Your recommendation is sharing your experience with the organization with all of your Facebook friends. They can then choose to like that page, check it out, ignore it.
How to make a Facebook recommendation
Time to go over to your favorite Facebook Pages and make a recommendation. This whole leaving a recommendation thing is pretty easy:
Navigate on over to the Facebook Page you have decided to “like”. In this case, I would be remiss if I did not encourage you to “like” Design Spike, Inc’s Facebook Page. You never know what good tips on websites / social media or small bits of hilarity you might encounter on our Page. Click the like button. Please and thank you.
Drop down, or scroll as the case may be, a wee bit and keep your eye on the right hand side. You’re looking for the “Recommendations” box.
Click in the little box and write your recommendation. Select public or Friends or any other customized list that you may have created. Click recommend and you’ve made that company / restaurant / organization’s day!
So, go on out there and share the love. Help a Facebook friend out. When is the last time you left a recommendation on a Facebook page?
